Life Day and other celebrations

Do you have any headcanons about it? Do your characters celebrate it? Do you think the Empire has a gift giving holiday? Other planetary holidays? What might a Hutt celebrate? (Do we want to know?)

My headcanon for Sithmas (which may or may not coincide with Life Day, and prooobably has another official name) is that it's the only day of the year when Sith stay home. Traditionally-minded ones are supposed to not see anyone except close family and servants; the younger or more gauche ones tend to join the rest of Imperials in disguise (or "in disguise") so they can share in the partying.

It's 63 years since any Sith was assassinated on Sithmas. Doing so is social and quite probably literal suicide; some very powerful Sith are VERY protective of their one real day off.

Yup! Plus I always giggle at the thought of the various senior Sith vegging out on their couches, wearing their tattiest old robes, catching up on the latest bootleg Republic soap.

(Marr always goes out partying. It's not like anyone is going to recognize him without the mask and armor.)

(He's insulted at the idea. It'd take at least seven loth cats to fill out that armor!)
